25 Ways To Suppress Truth: The Rules of Disinformation
Built upon Thirteen Techniques for Truth Suppression by David Martin, the following may be useful to the initiate in the world of dealing with veiled and half-truth, lies, and suppression of truth when serious crimes are studied in public forums. This, sadly, includes every day news media, one of the worst offenders with respect to being a source of disinformation. Where the crime involves a conspiracy, or a conspiracy to cover up the crime, there will invariably be a disinformation campaign launched against those seeking to uncover and expose the truth and/or the conspiracy. There are specific tactics which disinfo artists tend to apply, as revealed here. Also included with this material are seven common traits of the disinfo artist which may also prove useful in identifying players and motives. Continue
Internet Trolls Are Narcissists, Psychopaths, and Sadists
A new study shows that internet trolls really are just terrible human beings. In this month’s issue of Personality and Individual Differences, a study was published that confirms what we all suspected: Internet trolls are horrible people.
Let’s start by getting our definitions straight: An Internet troll is someone who comes into a discussion and posts comments designed to upset or disrupt the conversation. Often, in fact, it seems like there is no real purpose behind their comments except to upset everyone else involved. Trolls will lie, exaggerate, and offend to get a response. What kind of person would do this? Some Canadian researchers decided to find out. Continue
Proof: Israeli Effort to Destabilize Iran via Twitter #IranElection
Right-wing Israeli interests are engaged in an all out Twitter attack with hopes of delegitimizing the Iranian election and causing political instability within Iran.
Anyone using Twitter over the past few days knows that the topic of the Iranian election has been the most popular. Thousands of tweets and retweets alleging that the election was a fraud, calling for protests in Iran, and even urging followers hack various Iranian news websites (which they did successfully). The Twitter popularity caught the eye of various blogs such as Mashable and TechCrunch and even made its way to mainstream news media sites. Continue
Proof: U.S. Military Covert Operations Training via #IranElection
A great many people have been drawn into adding ribbons to their twitter icons to show support for various causes and uprisings. These have all evolved from the prototype iran.greenthumbnails.com site that first offered the ability to put a green overlay on your twitter icon (to show support for the Iranian uprising). In the early hours and days of the #iranelection operation, this was the main site for ‘activists’ and their supporters.
By examining the links and resources provided on this prototype page, the cover story propagated in the co-opted media claiming these events are “spontaneous, leaderless uprisings” is exposed as a diversion and a lie. Continue
End of the Myth of Spontaneous Grassroots: Manufactured Social Consciousness Deciphered
here is a desperate and dire need that until now seemed impossible to approach. There are a variety of problems with not being part of a corporate, government, or covert entity sponsored ‘grass roots’ organization but the fundamental ones are you don’t have the financing and you don’t have corporate organization – even conceptually. One of the most maddening aspects of these Turf operations is that not only do they have virtually limitless funding and the benefit of global corporate organization, they are also doing it covertly. Even where real users or topics have a reasonable following or appearance of support, the comparative impact to the interconnected, strategically organized, tactical systems of source material, support, and RTs is negligible. While the sponsored grass roots groups will scream themselves hoarse claiming it’s all ‘spontaneous’ and ‘leaderless,’ the data belies that false narrative and when placed in the proper context, it is very easy to see. Manufactured Realities: The Truth About The Arab Spring, Occupy Movement, And Anonymous
“Whatever happens today, you can’t put this genie back in the bottle.” – oxfordgirl
I remember watching these words real-time on June 12th 2009, and knowing just how undeniably true they were. Something was about to happen that was going to change the nature of reality and perception on this planet in ways that only a handful of us on Earth could even conceive. The next generation of mind control was about to manifest itself in a faraway land, and I knew as well as the creators themselves did, that the era of Virtual Reality 2.0 was about to begin…
For ages they prepared for this event. Months and months of planning, preparation, and testing went into the grand illusion that was about to ‘spring’ to life. On June 12th 2009 it wasn’t even blip in American consciousness yet, but Iran was about to hold a Presidential Election and this small band of rebel technologists planned on turning in their favor. The methods and means they intended to use in this endeavor where nothing short of astonishing. Through perception management, disinformation, video manipulation, manufactured false reality, cyber warfare, and remote managed civil disobedience, this band was fully prepared to and intent on – taking over a country. This Is What Happens When Anonymous Tries to Destroy You
For about a year, Anonymous has been the Internet’s greatest spectacle: raucous hacks, federal takedowns, scheming, betrayal and giggles. It’s hard not to be entertained by the nihilistic marauders — unless they’re threatening your life and children. This is the other side of Anon.
Jennifer Emick is a 40- year-old geek, living an ostensibly average-as-hell middle class life in Michigan with her husband and kids. At some point during any given phone conversation with Emick, she’ll probably pause and holler at one of these kids in the same way every mother on the planet is hollering at one child or another. The only difference is that this Midwestern mom revealed the notorious Sabu’s personal information (name, address, etc.) long before anyone — perhaps even the FBI — knew who he was.
Emick has spent the last two years battling Anonymous and it sympathizers. In the process, she’s had her home, sanity, children, marriage, finances, job, and character attacked from nearly every internet angle — what Emick calls a “group psychosis” that’s sucked her right into its bilious hacker vortex. I was a Paid Internet Shill
I am writing here to come out of the closet as a paid shill. For a little over six months, I was paid to spread disinformation and argue political points on the Internet. This site, ATS, was NOT one that I was assigned to post on, although other people in the same organization were paid to be here, and I assume they still walk among you. But more on this later.
I quit this job in the latter part of 2011, because I became disgusted with it, and with myself. I realized I couldn’t look myself in the mirror anymore. If this confession triggers some kind of retribution against me, so be it. Part of being a real man in this world is having real values that you stand up for, no matter what the consequences. Continue
